Hi, I’m Jo a Graphic Design graduate living in rural North Yorkshire near Scarborough. I have always had an interest in the arts and continue to explore different mediums and methods.

Welcome to Korora Design

I’m 22 and have recently graduated in Graphic Design from York St John University in the UK. I have been a designer for almost 7 years. Working with a mixture of mediums from textiles, to digital, and print. I’ve worked for a variety of people, amongst them being charities, galleries, and a wide range of people’s personal projects. Things from posters and advertising, to branding, illustrations, and tattoo designs. I’ve studied a form of art for the last 7 years those being Fine art, Graphic design, and Textiles. Many of my personal projects have an influence from my heritage, as a New Zealander. I find the patterns and colouring’s of nature influence me to have refreshing unusual style. Having lived my whole life so far in a tiny corner of North Yorkshire I also use inspiration from the coast and moors around me, the colouring of heather is beautiful with the sea and the horizon behind it.

Past Work

Young Leader – Village Youth Group
(2016 – 2019)
I volunteered as a Youth Leader for a few years, this entailed organising activities and helping fun-raise for the group as well as being able to offer support to members of the group.

Receptionist & Events Runner
(August 2017 – December 2018)
I started Volunteering there to help hang exhibitions and slowly began running events and gallery openings, handling on-the-door ticket sales, setting up for events,  and running the bar. This then developed into reception covering when people were on holiday or off sick.

Freelance Designer
(2017 – Present)
I have worked as a freelance designer for years now and have recently set up my own business selling personalized prints and pattern designs. I have also carried out branding projects for small charities and businesses.
